American Dreams Lost

I come from a poor family where healthcare has often been out of reach. I picked a profession where I could help people with the same problems. The number of people with no health care is astounding. Some of the families I help can get insurance through the state for their children, but not for the parents. If the parents are sick, and can't get the healthcare they need, who is going to take care of their children? It's worth more taxes for me to help those people because as a child, I worried about the health of my own parents. I have a father who once had his own business until his health declined and he lost it all. It's just one family with a lost American dream, but there are so many like us. It's the people of America who make it what it is, but those people are sick, and those people are dying; so, what becomes of America if we just let that happen?
