A blog about all the nonsense that is me. No one probably cares, but that's ok too.

For the People By the People
The big bailout has done one thing for sure. It's given the government a jolt. For the first time in ages, the people spoke up, and congress had to listen. There once was a time when the people trusted the government enough to sit by while they spent whatever on whatever they wanted. There once was a time when polls showed a very low approval rating for a president and that president paid no attention. It's just the people of the country voting on those polls, and those people never use their power; so, they lose their power. Now it's painfully clear that it's the people of the country against the government. Some politicians continue to talk circles around the subject further proving they think we're idiots. They think if they scare us we will buckle. It might be the best thing for the country to do the bailout, but what are the other options they've pursued? None you say? Are they bailing you and I out of our student loans, mortgages, car loans, badly managed debt of all kinds? NO! We do not approve of bailing out the wealthy in huge numbers, and somebody in the government needs to recognize who they work for and do something to appease us. What's sad is that the only reason Congress listened is because they are up for re-election, otherwise they would have voted however they really wanted to vote regardless of how the people felt. I hope it all works out in the end, and I hope the government remembers the little people one day. Where's Robinhood when you need him?
